I didn’t mess up the background! It turned out quite well, actually. It, unfortunately, doesn’t show as well in the picture, but it looks good. I’m pleased!

Bunny Love Final.

I’m starting to get the colors that I want now, and working on the ears as well. I’m pleased with how it’s looking now, and hoping it continues that way.

I’ve started to darken what I’ve done on the head. I think it’s a little too orange, but I’m going to play on a practice sheet to see if I can get just the color I’m looking for. We’ll see if I can manage it.

Now that he’s pretty much laid out, I decided to start my focus on Bunny’s head. Trying to get the colors just right is going to be a challenge, but hopefully one I can manage it. He’s definitely got a reddish color to him, so I wanted to start there.

I decided to start an actual colored pencil piece, and, of course, had to pick something not easy for my first real piece. This is my boss’s bunny who died earlier this year. His ‘real’ name is Elvis, but they all call him Bunny. He lived a long and happy life, and I know how much she loved that rabbit.

After a rocky start (a very bad sketch that I didn’t realize until I started getting the color in), I’m on track and have something to show. It’s not much, but especially with this being my first colored pencil piece, I wanted to document it.
